CreatorKit Chrome Extension — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
This policy covers the CreatorKit Chrome extension only. It is separate from the privacy policy for the CreatorKit web app (creatorkitapp.com), which is published at a different URL and governs that product. If you use both, each is governed by its own policy.
CreatorKit ("the extension", "we", "us") is a free Chrome extension for Amazon affiliate creators. This policy explains exactly what the extension does and does not do with your data. The short version: the CreatorKit extension does almost everything locally in your browser. The one exception is the Creator Connections badge, which sends the Amazon product IDs (ASINs) shown on the page to our own service to check campaign availability. It sends no account data, no login credentials, no cookies, and no information that identifies you.

What CreatorKit does
CreatorKit runs only on the Amazon affiliate dashboard (https://affiliate-program.amazon.com). When
you open its panel, it:
- reads the list of your available Creator Connections / Sponsored Products offers from Amazon's own APIs, using your existing logged-in Amazon session;
- lets you filter those offers by discount percentage;
- submits "accept" actions for the offers you choose, again to Amazon's own APIs;
- helps you draft a social post for a product (caption + image), assembled in your browser; and
- shows a "CC" badge on product cards that have an active Creator Connections campaign. To do this it sends the product IDs (ASINs) visible on the page to our own service (see "Data we send to our service" below).
Everything except the CC badge lookup happens inside your browser, on Amazon's domain, as actions you initiate.
Data we collect
We do not collect, sell, or share any personal data, and we do not transmit your Amazon account data. Specifically:
- Amazon offer and account data (product listings, prices, discounts, and your Amazon creator ID) is read from the page and Amazon's APIs and used only to display the panel and perform the actions you request. It is never sent to CreatorKit or anyone else.
- Authentication. CreatorKit does not ask for, store, or transmit your Amazon password or login credentials. It relies on the Amazon session cookies your browser already manages; the extension does not read or copy those cookies. To complete actions you initiate, it reads an anti-CSRF token from the Amazon page — this token is used only for that request to Amazon and is never stored or transmitted elsewhere.
Data we send to our service
To power the CC badge, the extension sends a list of Amazon product IDs (ASINs) — the products shown on the affiliate page you are viewing — to our own backend, and receives back whether each has an active Creator Connections campaign (and its commission rate). This is the only data the extension sends to us.
- What is sent: only ASINs (e.g.
B0XXXXXXXX). That's it. - What is not sent: no Amazon cookies or credentials (the request is made without them), no creator ID, no name, email, prices, or any information that identifies you. The request is not tied to a user account.
- IP address: as with any internet request, our server (hosted on Amazon Web Services) necessarily receives the connection's IP address. We use it only to operate the service and to rate-limit abuse, not to identify or profile you.
Data stored on your device
CreatorKit uses Chrome's local storage on your device only. It stores:
- your Amazon creator ID, so the extension's quick links resolve correctly as you navigate; and
- a CC badge cache — a map of ASIN → campaign availability with timestamps — so the extension doesn't re-query our service on every page (entries expire automatically, within 24 hours for found campaigns and 6 hours otherwise).
Both are stored only on your device and you can clear them at any time by removing the extension.
Permissions
- Access to
affiliate-program.amazon.com— so the panel can read offers and submit your accept actions on that site. - Access to our CC backend (
extension.creatorkitapp.com) — so the extension can look up Creator Connections campaign availability for the ASINs on the page, as described in "Data we send to our service". - Access to
*.media-amazon.com— so the extension can fetch a product image for the "Create Post" feature when you copy it; the image is processed in your browser and not sent to us. - Storage — to save your creator ID and the CC badge cache locally, as described above.
- Scripting — to show the panel in the dashboard tab when you click the extension icon.
Third parties
CreatorKit does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking services inside the extension. We do not sell or share your data. Our CC backend is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which processes the requests on our behalf as our infrastructure provider. The extension also contains links to our website (creatorkitapp.com); visiting those links is subject to that site's own privacy policy.
Relationship to Amazon
CreatorKit is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon. "Amazon" and related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
